Everything for two martinis at home, in one black box. A penguin cocktail shaker in polished steel, two vintage French martini glasses with black stems, a jar of Spanish Gordal olives and a tin of LA CHIPS from Italy. Add gin or vodka and ice, and the evening is set.

We put this box together for the person who would rather host than go out: the client who always orders the martini, the boss with a bar cart, the friend who throws the best December party. It arrives ready to give, with a DLISH martini card and your message written by hand.

      What's inside

      • Irving Penguin Cocktail Shaker by Viski. Polished stainless steel, 17 oz, with a built-in strainer and cap. A bow tie is etched on the front.
      • Two vintage Luminarc martini glasses. French glass with jet-black stems and feet, from the Domino line. Each pair is matched and checked by hand before it is packed.
      • Losada Gordal pitted olives, 8 oz. Gordal means "the fat one" in Spanish. Large, firm queen olives from Seville, the classic martini garnish.
      • LA CHIPS from Italy. Potato chips in a yellow tin, for the bowl next to the glasses.
      • DLISH martini card with your message written by hand, in a black DLISH gift box with a fitted insert.

How to make the first martini

Fill the shaker with ice. Add 60 ml (2 oz) gin or vodka and 10 ml (1/3 oz) dry vermouth. Close the cap and shake hard for fifteen seconds. Strain into a chilled glass through the built-in strainer and drop in two Gordal olives. For a dirty martini, add a spoonful of the olive brine before you shake.

      Who it suits

A holiday gift for him, for the host, or for a client who would never keep a logo mug. A gift for the boss that is personal without being private. A housewarming or engagement gift for a couple. The box holds no alcohol, so it can go to an office or across state lines without a second thought.

      Ordering for December

This box ships from stock and there are only six. For US addresses, order by November 13 for delivery December 8 to 16, before offices empty. See the full December deadlines. For a longer list, or a version with your card or sleeve, send us a brief and we send back three directions within two days. More ideas by recipient are in the Holiday Edit.

      Questions

Does the box include alcohol? No. It has everything except the gin or vodka, which keeps shipping simple and lets the recipient pour their own.

Are the glasses new?No. They are vintage Luminarc glasses from France, sold in matched pairs. Small signs of age are part of the charm. Hand wash only.

Can I send it straight to the recipient?Yes. Enter their address at checkout and your message for the card. No prices appear in the box.

Is the shaker easy to use?Yes. It is a cobbler shaker: the strainer is built into the top, so there is nothing extra to buy. Hand wash and dry it after use.

Can I order more than six? This run is six boxes, because the glasses are vintage. For a longer list, send a brief with the count and cities and we will suggest the closest match.
